Client:
Pharmaceutical company (with Brum Smith)
Sector:
Pharmaceutical
mission:
Develop quality, engaging, clear and concise audio content for specialists.

The challenge

Design and produce a podcast dedicated to oncologists to explain key scientific and clinical questions around a fast-moving area of clinical science in a clear, structured and engaging way.

The client needed a format that would be accessible to a broad medical audience, quick to consume, while maintaining scientific rigour and engaging tone.

what we did

As Brum Smith’s production partner, Sounds Good acted as the connective tissue between the agency’s strategic vision, the pharma company’s platform, and the technical production of the podcast:

  • Helped shape the editorial structure: short episodes, thematic flow, host introduction, question-driven conversation, takeaways recap
  • Wrote and edited scripts based on scientific discussions between experts
  • Coached speakers and host (all reknowned HCPs) to ensure clarity, rhythm and message alignment
  • Oversaw the production with the studio, including the development of the sound identity, music direction and post-production
  • Worked on a communication and distribution plan
  • Developed collaterals to promote the podcast to the oncologist audience: in-field teams emails, flyers, posters and more.

the results

  • One in three specialists nationwide reached in under three months
  • More than double the audience of the equivalent live event by the same scientific society
  • Three quarters of each episode listened to on average, on formats under fifteen minutes
  • Four in ten listeners subscribed to the series
  • Discovery-to-listen conversion 50% above the platform benchmark
